Network Instruments Introduces Gigabit Observer® Suite System

Wire-speed Gigabit analysis for Observer® 8 protocol analyzation line to be unveiled at COMNET, Booth 1047

MINNEAPOLIS- January 27, 2002 - Network Instruments, LLC today announced the availability of a full-duplex wire speed Gigabit analyzer as part of its Observer 8 line of protocol analyzation software for LAN/WAN networks. The Gigabit Observer Analyzer enables users to perform network troubleshooting and monitoring of the most advanced, full-duplex Gigabit networks at wire speed. The Gigabit analyzer comes in three formats:

Gigabit Probes

• The Gigabit Probe Kit (for local or remote use) including a 64-bit, Dual-Port Gigabit Analyzer Adapter, as well as cabling and an optical splitter
• A 19" Rack-Mountable Probe for Observer Expert or Suite, either local or remote, or
  

Full Gigabit Analyzer

• A Full Ruggedized Luggable Analyzer with 10/100/Gigabit interfaces for Analyzation and Real-Time Expert

The Gigabit Observer will be demonstrated at COMNET 2002 in Network Instruments booth #1047 along with the rest of the Observer 8 network analyzation line.

Network Instruments indicated that pricing of the wire-speed Gigabit options will start at $8,000 for the Probe Kit, $9,995 for the Rack Mount Probe and $17,995 for the full Gigabit Analyzer.
